New retail website FurbulousDarling is owned by Robyn Duncan, who started the business on her own in November 2014 and has built up her followers on both Facebook and Instagram. Furbulousdarling is online only and is based in Liverpool but ships all over the UK.
They stock labels from the USA including Ginger Fizz and W collection. Gradually building up their portfolio of labels they always look to find stockists that are unique and different to what are usually seen in the UK.
They stock sizes from 6-18 in some ranges and are hoping to build up the business further to start selling some fabulous shoes that can’t be bought on the high street.
The aim for Furbulous Darling clothes is to be unique, fun and most importantly affordable to everyone.
I’m obsessing over the bright yellow dress above which is short at the front and long at the back, I love the deep neck line. I would wear this with 50s style waved hair and a red lip. A perfect holiday dress, especially with a golden tan.
I’m also loving the leopard print off the shoulder top with the little shorts and floppy hat, a perfect festival outfit for the up and coming Festival season.
Owners of style have been trading since 2014 they have some lovely pieces on there website and have just collaborated with the lovely Imogen Thomas. They chose Imogen to model their range because she is a curvy lady and this was taken in to account when looking for a summer collection for their customer base. The bikini bottoms which are ruched were a decision maker as it offers a perfect fit. They stock the range on their website and you can also purchase from Imogen’s social media and website. All the bikinis in the range are at a very reasonable price. Take a look below at my favourite pieces from the collection.
This gorgeous one piece swimsuit is perfect if you want to make a statement, The tangerine colour is the colour to go for if your wanting to show off your tan. I love the gold and black detail and the zip up the front so you can zip it down a little if your wanting to show a bit of cleavage off!
CANCUN BIKINI £39.99
This is another one of my favourites. You can’t go wrong with an animal print bikini. This is mostly the style bikini I tend to buy and if your curvy like me the halter style and tie side bottoms is what flatters your figure the most. The gold accessorise finish it off and make it look a lot more expensive than it actually is, at £39.99 you can’t complain!
HOLLYWOOD BIKINI £39.99
The classic black bikini is a holiday essential. It’s classy and I find a black bikini always slims u down. What I like the most about the Hollywood bikini is the scrunch bum bottoms so you can show an extra bit of cheek there more sexy and feminine than the usual full bottoms.
I spoke to Becky the founder of Owners of style to get a bit of background on how she started….
As a mum of two beautiful children and a wonderful circle of friends. I would often be so excited to have a night off, let my hair down and plan a great night out with the girls, one problem, I have nothing to wear! I would search the shops, often coming home emptied handed as everything I liked came with a heavy price tag. It would seem my friends too had this problem. So here the story of Owners of Style begun in 2014, I decided my mission from was to bring style to all you wonderful ladies, up to date fashion with an inexpensive price tag.
We aim to bring the latest trends, celebrity inspired looks and up to date fashion,we have an array of designs to suit their personal style. Although we are a new business we love to hear from our customers either by taking the time to communicate via our Facebook page or our contact form.
It is important to us that our customers feel confident, look glam and fill their wardrobes guilty free.
I try to bring affordable fashion, at inexpensive price.

I think no other style makes you think of flowerchildren full of whimsy and free-flowing dresses. Boho style will make you long for endless summer days. Boho style will also inspire you when it comes to adding more color to your wardrobe, wearing more bangles or experimenting more with things like head scarfs. Not long ago my friend Gill O’toole opened the doors to The Lounge boutique, after 6 months of building her clientele up online she knew it was the right time. After making her own jewellery for a while and making some contacts with wholesalers she invested in some Loungewear with just £100 and after so much customer demand she realised this is what she wanted to be doing. Gill kept investing what she made each week to buy more and more Loungewear then after 6 months it was the perfect time to open a shop! Take a look below of some of the fabulous stuff Gill has to offer at the Lounge Boutique.
I spoke to Gill to see how it all started.. I Started The Lounge Boutique because I just love casual clothes ... I live in pumps, leggings, T-shirts and track suits . It was the prefect venture for me as I'm passionate about dressing comfortable day to day but still looking good. I love dressing up for a night out but apart from that you will only ever see me in converse, T's and jeans. I started out just little bits on social media then found perfect location in West Derby for a little shop so my customers could come and try on and see what other fab items I have for sale... And for those who don't live local I have my website www.theloungeboutique.co.uk Now it's coming into summer I've branched out into festival bits .. Denim shorts ... Light weight jackets .. Bum bags n caps. I get new stock every couple of weeks that's why I have so many loyal returning customers. I have lots of expecting mums or new mums who buy from me as they love the lounge suits as alternative to leggings, maternity wear & even there pjs. The lounge suits are also perfect for travelling as they are so comfy yet you still look glam they are lounge suits with a twist, Bit of bling, animal prints or gold chains. My customers love them for doing the school run or nipping the hairdressers .. Whatever your doin in your Lounge Boutique outfit you know you'll be comfy but still look good! Here is some of Gills favourite below
Some of Gills lovely customers wearing The Lounge Boutique.

Whilst browsing the Internet for some bikinis for my up and coming holidays, I came across www.honeyslingerieboutique.com they have some fabulous pieces of swimwear and kaftans, not to mention underwear, Nightwear, and also gifts for him and her.
I ended up ordering a one piece Aguaclara swimsuit, I’m glad I came across this brand as I’m a big fan of designer swimwear and I’m always looking out for new designers to try. They do some really glam bikinis, kaftans and one pieces. I don’t normally go for swimsuits as I like to tan as much as my body as possible when on holiday but this has enough sections cut out and is also backless to give me an even all over tan. With a mix of zebra print and camouflage print it was perfect for a pool party.
It has some padding in the chest area which always gives you a better shape and the pads are also removable, but I like to leave them in to give you that extra boost! It has tie bottoms at the side and a thicker tie at the back of the neck for more support. You can adjust the back tie as loose or tight as you want depending on the cleavage your wanting to achieve!
Check out my pics below in the swimsuit!Read More »
If there is one website to go to for an amazing pair of tights, then look no further than www.luxury-legs.com. They stock some of the best leg wear I’ve come across. I ordered two pairs which I have reviewed below but first of all a bit about Luxury legs…..

At luxury-legs you will find classic layering pieces with a wonderful soft feel which can be worn on their own or as a great base layer. Choose from Spaghetti strap Camisoles, classic tanks or the ultimate double-ply fronted t-shirts.
Pierre Mantoux Raye Stay-ups
All I can say is wow about these stay-ups. They really do make a statement, especially when worn with a little black dress or skirt.
I wore them with a black leather pleated skirt and black lace shirt tucked in with a large Bow around the neck. It was a nice change wearing tights, but perfect for me at the moment as the weather isn’t quite warm enough yet to be getting my legs out.
They really do elongate your legs because of the bold vertical contrasting nude and black stripes, and they really do stay up. I usually find tights so annoying to put on but these tights slid on so easily, no effort needed at all, maybe something to do with the silk gloves I was sent to put them on with which I would most definitely recommend!
Here is the link below to purchase these beauty’s!
Pierre Mantoux Nabila
These funky fish nets were my second choice of leg wear.
Every girl needs a pair a fishnet tights and they really are a striking trend this season. These tights are designed with an exaggerated play on a fishnet design. Not only can they be worn on their own but why not layer them over a sheer or opaque tight to create another look?
They fit perfectly and stretched and moved with me better than I expected. After wearing them all night not a rip or tear to be seen.
I wore them with a little black dress with long arms and some black lady peep Louboutin heels and big chunky gold necklace, they make you feel very sexy I must say!

Chateau Boutique have split their clothing styles into 5 different categories to make your online shopping experience easier and quicker! They are: good time girl, it girl, quirky girl, power girl and girly girl.. Xx
How did you originally get into fashion?
I have always had a great interest in fashion from a very young age, always trying to be that little bit different from everyone else’s style, so I chose to study fashion as my university subject choice so I could bring my visions to life.
Why did you name your brand Chateau Boutique?
I chose the name Chateau Boutique because of the location of the property. We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the oldest part of the city in the old grounds of the castle keep, the castle being the reason the city has its name! The French translation is relevant as well, as my family originates from France. Then for my own collections I decided to take the name CHATEAU from the name of the Boutique for the exclusive higher priced garments and occasion wear and then for my second clothing line Oh!Chateau which is a younger more affordable line of the luxury brand. My second fashion label Oh!Chateau is intended to target the younger generation and is more affordable for those who are starting to become more sophisticated and developing there own identity in their styles.
You have your own label Chateau, how did that come about?
Last year I attended the Oscars (Academy Awards) in Los Angeles and really struggled to find ‘the perfect dress’. As it was a big event it had to be something spectacular and fit my body perfectly. After failing to find a dress that was suitable I decided to design my own gown and have it tailor made. When I wore the dress I got so many compliments from A list celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Katy Perry, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. It was truly amazing and really gave me the confidence to start taking my designs more seriously. This is where I came up with Idea “CHATEAU” to design high-end luxury garments for special Occasions.
Chateau Boutique opened the Show at Marbella Fashion Week 2013
What are your main inspirations?
Most of my inspiration comes from travel and I love architecture. When I’m away from my familiar surroundings I notice things a lot more, taking more time to look at things and pay attention to detail. I love to draw from buildings and as no two buildings are the same they always keep me interested.
When deciding on stock from the other brands you stock, what do you look for?
I look for things that are hard to find on the high street so customers know they are going to be purchasing something unique that not everyone else will be wearing. You would struggle to find most of the ready to wear clothing selling anywhere else within the UK.
What sets Chateau Boutique apart from other retailers?
In Newcastle upon Tyne there is currently no other store like us, there is some fabulous boutiques in and around the city but nothing that caters for our target market, I want to push affordable luxury! You don’t have to spend thousands of pounds on a dress to look and feel luxurious. I would love to see more boutiques opening up around Newcastle upon Tyne in the near future, there is quite a few already aimed at the older sophisticate lady but none that cater for young girls and especially teens. This is where I spotted a niche in the market for a “Teenage Boutique” When I was younger there was a lot more small independent stores in the city center selling fast fashion at very affordable prices but due to the recession they have unfortunately dwindled away! This is why I will bestocking lower priced fashion garments aimed at younger girls!
|Santorini Wiggle Dress by Oh!Chateau||The “Dotty” Dress by CHATEAU|
You offer a bespoke design service, why did you start that?
Before I was trained in pattern cutting and dress making, I would often design my own garments and have to travel down south to get them made, this is where Ispotted a niche in the market and I felt it was a service that needed to be available in Newcastle upon Tyne.
What is your background in fashion? (University experience etc.)
I studied fashion as my University Degree subject choice and whilst studying in London I worked for one of the biggest British fashion houses on Regent Street. I already run other successful businesses and feel the business aspect comes natural to me as well as being very creative so does the design side of things. I have worked particularly hard to build the skills to be able to draw a pattern from a design and construct the pattern to create the final garment. We have another amazing Dressmaker on site who is highly experienced and has worked with the likes of Alexander McQueen and Giles Deacon.
What are your goals for the future?
One of my main goals for the future is to create jobs for local people. I will be looking to recruit at more pattern cutters and seamstresses for the bespoke design service. I will also be looking to recruit sales assistants for the Boutique and then also staff for the new e-commerce online business. Another goal of mine is to get my own two fashion labels stocked in other Boutiques and online retailers. I don’t want to keep my designs exclusive to my boutique and website as I want to share them with other businesses and create great stock for their stores and websites!
Where about is the shop located?
The shop is located in one of the oldest parts of the city in the old grounds of the castle keep. You can walk past the Castle Keep down the Castle Stairs leading on to the Quayside or alternatively directly across the road from the Swing Bridge and up the Castle Stairs!
Will there be any promotion for the public that runs alongside the shop and website launch?
We will be running several competitions and offers to win some of our fabulous stock! Please register online at www.chateauboutique.co.uk to keep up to date!
Who are your own style inspirations?
Olivia Palermo, in my opinion is the most stylish woman in the world, she always looks super chic and very well groomed! Secondly I would have sayKourtney Kardashian, I met her at the Oscars last year and she is such a lovely down to earth person who lives and breathes fashion, I love that she doesn’t just stick to one style that suits her and isn’t afraid to try new looks!
What celebrities have worn items from Chateau Boutique?
I am currently making dresses for Lisa Vanderpump, Amy Childs and one of the most famous female pop stars in the world. Some of the celebrities that have worn Chateau Boutique so far are, Francesca Newman-Young and Olivia Newman-Young (Made in Chelsea) The girls from Stooshe, Abigail Clarke andJasmin Walia (The only way is Essex) Louise Cliffe (Model and Big Brother) Kitty Brucknell (X Factor) Lydia Lucy (X Factor) Layla Flaherty (Model and Desperate Scousewives) Sabrina Washington (Mis-Teeq) and Kimberley Garner (Made in Chelsea)
Tara Gardiner (owner of Chateau Boutique) with Heidi Klum at the Oscars (Academy Awards) 2012 in Los Angeles
What is Chateau Boutique’s proudest moment?
I am currently making a dress for Lisa Vanderpump (The real housewives of Beverley Hills), which I am proud of, as she is one of my inspirations being a successful businesswoman herself! Another one is defiantly seeing my ideas for the website finally coming to life, I have been working on this concept for so long now its been a long hard year pulling it all together. I would have to say my proudest moment of all was the Launch Party for the Boutique that was held at the Castle Keep. The night was truly magical and better than I could have ever imagined, the feedback I received from the guests that attended was unbelievable, people were shocked at just how incredible the whole event turned out, it was definitely a night to remember!
Chateau Boutique offer a personalised Illustration service which you can have printed on to almost anything.. Canvas, Mobile Phone Covers, Bags and much more!

Have a look below at some of my favourite pieces from the site…..
This Velvet skull print toffee coloured T-shirt by Nana Judy is a day time look I normally go for, I love anything with skulls on going for the rock chick look, I have a few leather jackets so I’d wear with one of them with spikes on and to complete the look I’d go for a scarf around my neck too and some leather leggings and a pair of converse or biker boots. And it’s not to pricey at £36.00
This grey and black leatherette sleeved jumper also by Nana Judy is definitely the type of thing I would wear of a day time for a casual look, I’d wear it with Leather look leggins, and some biker boots. It’s also a bargain at £52.00.
These gorgeous silk trousers by Love Zooey would look great day or night, with heels or flats, I’d wear with heels of a night with a little vest top matching any of the colours in the trousers, and to finish the look I’d over accessorise with a chunky gold chain and lots of bangles and bracelets. I’m loving all the baggy style trousers that are in the shops at the moment as you can dress them up or down as much as you like.
This gorgeous Daisy Knights gold ring is something I’d wear every day, I do wear a lot of gold to match my watch, and I tend to accessorise with gold pieces more than silver, so this would be perfect to wear day or night for me. I love the rope detail with the cute little Anchor.
